International Wednesday

I can't say I'm an expert on International Football. It's different from club football where you can exploit different match ups and odds, there are a lot of mismatches that will not get you value for money.

Anyway, the one pick I really like is Croatia at +500. I just don't see their chances of winning being that low. We all remember what happened last time Croatia went to Wembley, and one of their key players, Eduardo, has a lot to prove.

France at +145 against Serbia is tempting, but I don't have much confidence in the French side right now. With Henry calling Domenich out, it seems like there's more trouble ahead for them.

I can't wait til this weekend's moneylines are up.

Not the best of weeks

I'll have to attribute this to the fact that I made the picks on short notice without putting much thought into it. Still 2/3 isn't that bad, but it isn't up to my standards. I'm interested in how the odds will work out this week for the Champions League as well as the Premiership games this week (Man U-Arsenal)!!!!

Going Away

I'm going away for the next week, so I can't really put much thought into my picks this week. The two that stood out for me the most this week are:

Sunderland +110

Tottenham +140

Everton +120

I'll see if I can keep this up during the week.

Midweek Games

I can't say any of the midweek games really appeal to me right now.

Liverpool Loss

I guess you can't be perfect.

After a 4/4 start, it probably would have been a good idea to pull the Liverpool pick considering the injuries they were facing. This is something I thought about, but ultimately felt that Liverpool could still win the game.

Spanish Super Cup

Barcelona at -130 giving 1/2.

Saturday Report

It looks like I'm 4/4 on the weekend thus far with only the Liverpool game left on the dossier tomorrow.

I'd like to remark that I was happy that I didn't choose to pick all of the games because I had no idea that Aston Villa and Bolton would come out so lifeless. Furthermore, Chelsea were almost drawn by Hull City were it not for a fantastic chip by Drogba. I think if I had picked that game, I would've sweated it out, especially if I put it on Chelsea. Thus far, I'm very happy with the results (how can I not be?).

Money Lines are up!

The money lines are up on The Greek, so let's take a look, shall we?

Fulham at +175 - Portsmouth is one of the weakest teams in the EPL right now and Fulham while not the best are quite solid.

Manchester City at +115 - With their off-season acquisitions...

West Ham at +175 - West Ham are another top half of the table squad, and a player like Carlton Cole should make a big impact against Wolves

Arsenal at +130 - Andrei Arshavin, Cesc Fabregas, and Eduardo should provide enough fire power for an ailing Gunners squad.

Liverpool at +125 - With Tottenham's defense ailing, Fernando Torres should have a field day.

Nothing much has changed except for the amount of cash that is receivable.

Not a bad day, not a great day

Laying those 1 1/2 goals in the Spain match, I lost that bet, but I nailed the Netherlands-England draw for +225 and the Croatian victory over the Belarusians.

Based on $100 bets, I finished the day +202. Not bad for three bets. Let's see how this weekend plays out.

International Friendlies/World Cup Qualifiers

I forgot that there were International Friendlies and World Cup Qualifiers tomorrow. Here are my picks:

Spain (+117 giving 1 1/2) over Macedonia.

England and Netherlands draw (+225).

Croatia (-130 giving 1/2) over Belarus.

Selectivity owns.

Week One EPL

I started handicapping the EPL during the second half of last year and had pretty good results. One of my main problems was that I picked every single games instead of picking the games I was most confident in. This year I'm going to be more selective with my picks.

Anyway, here are my selections for week one (The lines are either from bodog or The Greek):

Manchester City (+114) over Blackburn.

Fulham (+170) over Portsmouth.

West Ham (+155) over Wolves.

Arsenal (+130) over Everton.

Liverpool (+120) over Tottenham.

Anytime you can get a Big Four team in + money is great, but these are both going to be tough matches. Last year, Arsenal drew both games against Everton, so putting money on the +225 draw wouldn't be the worst decision.
